Sant’Anna Institute’s host families are located throughout Sorrento.
Each family can accommodate up to four students. They are couples with children, parents whose children have moved out, and retired people. Some families have pets!

Please inform us in advance if you have any allergies, dietary requirements, medical conditions, or other health concerns, so we can make the necessary arrangements before your arrival. Here’s what you can expect:

• Your host family will cook local dishes and your housing may include half-board (breakfast + dinner) or full-board (three meals a day). If included, lunch will be a packed lunch.
• An Italian breakfast is typically sweet and light; a savory breakfast with meat and eggs is uncommon.
• Dinner is usually shared with the host family and is a more social occasion. If they are unable to join you on a particular evening, they will let you know in advance.

• Bedrooms usually include a bed for each student, a wardrobe or drawers, and a desk when possible.
• Air conditioning and fans are common in Southern Italy
• Wi-Fi ( Internet is provided yet service is not guaranteed)
• Check with your host family about laundry arrangements. Some may allow you to use their washing machine, others might do the laundry for you, or they may direct you to the nearest laundromat.
