EMILY HAMMEREN
Internship Coordinator
Hello! My name is Emily Hammeren. I am the internship coordinator at Sant’Anna. My most important role is being a cultural liaison between students, local employers who host our interns, and the surrounding Sorrento community, along with assisting students during their stay with us. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated in Studio Art from Denison University. I studied abroad in Florence and moved to Italy shortly after my college graduation. I have been at Sant’Anna for seven years now – and I have fallen in love with the Italian culture. Sant’Anna is a warm and welcoming school, especially with our classrooms overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. When you come here, you won’t want to leave!
It’s rewarding to stay in touch with Sant’Anna alumni, who reflect on their great internships here and courses we offer. Outside of work, I enjoy going on walks and hikes with my husband, my three-year old son, and our Bernese Mountain dog. The best activity in Sorrento is indulging in a fresh fish dinner down at Mariana Grande by our school, which provides spectacular views and amazing foods! I hope you can come to Sant’Anna to experience this life-changing opportunity yourself!
