Continuing Education

With more than 20 years of expertise in international education in Sorrento, Italy, Sant’Anna Institute is enthusiastic to present a new branch to our repertoire: Continuing Education.

This new program area allows lifelong learners around the globe to participate in our institute’s excellence, including our deep experience in program personalization, and to share in the richly educational value of our local territory.

A customized program may be built based on the following elements:

AVAILABLE COURSES

Available courses of study are:

  • Italian Language (taught in Italian, any level)
  • Italian Language for specific purposes (law, business, medicine, art, music, etc.)
  • Italian Literature I: Dante and the Middle Age (taught in Italian)

  • Italian Literature III: the 20th century (taught in Italian)

* Field-trips are included in the course hours and fees

More course options may available upon request, based on the needs of the student.

TIMELINE

The above courses may be taken in one of the following two onsite formats:

  • 20 hours of study in 2 weeks
  • 45 hours of study in 4 weeks

The above options may also be available online during the Fall 2020 semester.

Students will receive a certificate at the completion of each course.

Please note that not all of the courses are offered each month.

EXTRACURRICULARS

The program includes several extracurricular activities designed to enhance the academic experience and enrich your social and cultural life during your time in Sorrento. These activities may include:

  • Cultural excursions
  • Cooking classes
  • Italian movies with group discussion led by professor
  • Language exchange program
  • Italian conversation or phonetics lessons
  • Weekly lunches with our faculty members
  • Buffalo, wine, olive, and limoncello factory tours
  • The Sant’Anna Mentoring program with our undergraduate students
