Please find all information about Sant'Anna Residence Hall here
Students who are more independent in their living arrangements and enjoy living with several others can choose to stay in an apartment. Students will share the apartment with up to 5 other students from Sant'Anna.
Apartments are self-catered.
All apartments come equipped with the following for student use:
- Bed and linens
- Stove and basic cooking and eating necessities
- Kitchen table and chairs
Apartments in Italy, especially in the historical centers, are all situated in antique buildings. Although we mantain a standard for our apartments, some are more recently renovated than others. Because of this no two apartments are just alike, and we cannot accomodate requests for specific apartments.
Sant'Anna institute does not have co-ed apartments.
Apartments are not all located in the same building, but are all within walking or public transportation distance from the school and facilities.
A private single apartment can be arranged upon request at an additional fee.
Host Family Accommodation:
There’s no better way to immerse yourself in Italian language and culture than to live with a local Italian family.
Sant'Anna has long-standing relationships with local families that ensure the happiness and safety of our students.
Host families provide breakfast daily and students can choose the option to have dinner provided by their host family.
- bed in private room or shared with other Sant'Anna students
- Wifi connectivity
- access to laundry
It is an excellent opportunity to practice the language on a daily basis and to sample the delights of Italian culture, from food to daily life and family values and forming bonds.
Host family accommodation is subject to availability and confirmed on a first come, first served basis.
“Living with a host family has to be the best decision I have
ever made while studying abroad. I remember the first day
we met, I did not know what to expect. My family welcomed
my roommate, Steph, and I with open arms. [They] feed us
until our stomachs are full and help us understand and learn
about the Italian culture in a different light. Over the past
month we have bonded and truly grown to be family. It’s so
nice to go home to smiles and an Italian home. They look out
for us and take us places around Sorrento, as well! I couldn’t
be more blessed for the family I am living with!”
—Stephanie Mele, Spring 2016
"I really feel like I have a home away from home. My Mama and Papa Italiano are very special to me. They get so excited to hear about my day and different adventures I get myself into! [My host sisters] Dona and Katia have shown me so many neat places and introduced me to many of their friends! My italian host family has truly made my experience here special and I wouldn’t trade them for anything!"
—Katie Hibbard, Spring 2016
